Firstly, I HATE people. I find myself believeing that if there were 95% less humanity on this planet, I'd be happy. Even if that meant I got the axe too.
Secondly, we consistenly embrace a cycle of emotional trauma. People go their entire lives without ever realizing what effect they have on the people around them. Seriously, what's the most TRAUMATIC event in any persons's life? (Yeah, don't answer that because you'll probably get it wrong; which is to say that you'll guess something different than I would say; and that's WAY worse than being 'wrong') As a matter of fact, if you knew the answer; you wouldn't be reading this peice of shit, you'd be writing your own.
The single most devastating realization we all come to is that our parents are peice of shit humans just like us. We were raised by these adults who knew the answers to all our questions (why is the sky blue? what is 7 times 7? Can you name a four letter word for 'semen'? why does the old lady on the corner call black people 'niggers'? how come I have a grandpa but not a grandma?); and ruled our lives (they told us when to eat, when to go to bed, where to use the bathroom, where to catch the bus, why we should cover our mouths when we cough, and how to court members of the opposite sex). We were all born in a world totally controlled by mom and dad.
Unfortunately, teens come to the realization that their parents are just grey-haired, slightly-wrinkled teenagers; with no more of a clue about natural science or social prejudice than anyone else. This is where childhood breaks down, and the real angry/resentful/bitter adult is cultivated.
Why? Why do we do this? Do we just want someone to blame? Does it help us cultivate the skills that help us deal with anger? Does it allow us to find a place to compartmentalize all the feelings we have that we don't identify with, and put them in a place where we never see them again? Do we do this because we think we've evolved above our basest......aw, fuckall. You feel that way because you're a fucking prick.
